The Fund's accounts for the financial year ended 30 September 2007 are appended. The Fund has been well supported during the year and 52 Clubs donated £1.450.00 to the Fund. Three private contributions increased the total donations to £1,702.50.

The Trustees were very pleased to respond to a request from a club for assistance and they have made one grant this year, awarding a sum of £1,000. It was unfortunate that another Club, which requested assistance, could not be helped because they had not been an annually subscribing Club, as provided for in the Constitution and Regulations.

Clubs are therefore reminded that only those who contribute regularly are eligible to apply for assistance on behalf of past and present members or their dependents. Each subscribing club is urged to investigate, and perhaps to appoint a Welfare Officer, to see if they have any members or dependants of deceased members who need assistance. Applications for aid should be addressed to any of the Trustees named above or to me as the Fund's Secretary. All applications are dealt with confidentially arid as quickly as possible.

The Trustees are grateful to the County Secretary for sending out the forms to assist clubs in making their contribution to the funds. The Trustees are also grateful to Ken Baker for examining the Fund's accounts.

The Trustees wish you all good health and enjoyable bowling in 2008.
